Area - Room size and shape impact material quantities. Carpets come in various widths; Laminates & LVTs have different planks sizes affecting wastage.
Floor Condition - Removal of existing flooring always necessary. Self-levelling screeds and moisture barriers required for Laminates and LVTs.
Underlay - Numerous underlay qualities exist, leading to price differences.
Labour - Ease of access to site, furniture removal all impact staff and time affecting the cost. Staircase installations cost more.
General - Many factors shape pricing, requiring on-site consultation for accurate quotes.
- Remote locations might have extra transport fees.
- Floors needing self-levelling screeds should budget at least R150/m².
- Small areas incur surcharges due to minimum material and labour costs.
