  • Area - Room size and shape impact material quantities. Carpets come in various widths; Laminates & LVTs have different planks sizes affecting wastage.
  • Floor Condition - Removal of existing flooring always necessary. Self-levelling screeds and moisture barriers required for Laminates and LVTs.
  • Underlay - Numerous underlay qualities exist, leading to price differences.
  • Labour - Ease of access to site, furniture removal all impact staff and time affecting the cost. Staircase installations cost more.
  • General - Many factors shape pricing, requiring on-site consultation for accurate quotes.
    • Remote locations might have extra transport fees.
    • Floors needing self-levelling screeds should budget at least R150/m².
    • Small areas incur surcharges due to minimum material and labour costs.

Resistance to Chemicals: PVC is resistant to many different chemicals, alkalis and general industrial chemicals. PVC resists alcohols, aliphatic hydrocarbons, oils, weak acids, strong mineral acids and alkalis. PVC resists oil and grease if properly cleaned.
